This movie treats especially as the first important incursion of Tobey Maguire out of the personage of the Man Chandelier, the roll that has made it famous worldwide. Incursion that Natalie Portman does Tobey Maguire in the dramatic genre accompanied by the always notable one for these movies.
In this case, the brothers of the title are Sam (Tobey Maguire) and Tommy (Jake Gyllenhaal, to prompt whom we will see in Prince of Persia), but curiously the not muscular at all Maguire is the one that interprets the older brother, the sure military man of and family father who sets off to a dangerous mission in Afghanistan and leaves his wife and his two girls waiting for it at home. While, Jake Gyllenhaal interprets Tommy, the younger brother, of somewhat erratic conduct although of big friendliness.
The actions break loose when Sam disappears after his helicopter is knocked down during a military operation. From there, the younger brother, Tommy will try to take charge of the situation, of the family, of the daughters and of Grace (Natalie Portman), the wife of his brother.
Naturally, the approach arises between Grace and Tommy, but the situation gives one I overturn after there reappears Sam, who had not died if not that had been a taken prisoner and tortured by the members of the army Talibán. Sam will try to occupy his place again, but he is not even the same either after the war or the things between brothers it always has solution …
In short, a strong history, and a movie led by a well-known super actor who tries not to remain classified in a roll.
